Kent Island Resort
Situated in Stevensville, Maryland is Kent Island Resort, a property deeply rooted in the local history. The renovation of this property was initiated by Andy’s Landscaping in the autumn of 2023. The project involved a fresh landscape design and various other enhancements to highlight the property's natural beauty. This continuous endeavor has significantly revitalized the property, with further improvements on the horizon.
The existing plant arrangement was removed, and a fresh planting scheme was carefully implemented to streamline and establish a cohesive look across the premises.
The objective of this project was to create a new open space that overlooked the amazing view towards the water, creating a perfect area to hold events. To do this, Andy’s Landscaping had to firstly move all existing equipment residing in the area and then demo the existing concrete footing and nearby patio. Then several builds had to be run to create a cohesive result. A new concrete slab, patio deck, and red brick patio were installed. Two new red brick sidewalks were then laid to connect with the existing sidewalk and pavement. Plants, mulch and sod were laid down. Low voltage exterior lights were then installed to truly capture the project’s beauty in the dark. This project truly brought the whole property together while offering a new and beautiful venue for visitors.
Andy's Landscaping removed the old bridge and installed fresh red brick to smoothly link the current red brick pathway. A drainage system was placed beneath the walkway to avoid water accumulation, and two retaining walls were erected on either side to enhance safety for pedestrians. The revitalized bridge not only improved the area but also prioritized the safety of visitors as they pass through.
